Terms of Social Networking comes from the relationship with another people.
One of definition from Social Networking is an online community where people can interact with other people and share information with their friends, family and contacts.

What is Wiki?

Wiki itself is a website that enable user to create and edit the information inside.

What is corporate wiki?

Corporate wiki is a wiki that being used inside the corporation. Usually only for internal usage.

Usage of Wikis and Corporate Wikis :

(Nb : since almost all of the usage between wiki and corporate wiki is quite similar, I decide to combine it into one category)

To co-author proposals

You need to create a proposal. In the proposal itself, you need to work as a team. Wiki can help you to manage the information contain in the proposal. While another people from different team can work in the proposal too.

To communicate initiatives

If you want to create something new, you can share it through wiki. People will know easily what is your invention and able to give feedback to you.

To display static or dynamic information on a website

If you want to know about frequent and no changes in a website, you can find it from wikis, since many people will share their knowledge about which site that they have visited and if there is any change in the website.

To display frequently-asked-questions (FAQs)

FAQs is usually in a form of wikis. It enable people to get to know about the answer of their question. They also can put more information about another alternative of the solution.

Online discussion is also available through wikis. The topic that people want to search for usually appear in wikis. It only require people to give more idea about it.
